Vehicle insurance issues keep the ombud busy (Independent Online)

The Ombudsman for Short-term Insurance, Brian Martin, drove away from his first official year as ombudsman with a record amount of R83.9 million recovered from insurance companies on behalf of complainants in 2007. This figure compares to a total recovery figure of R67.3 million in 2006.
